Joe Remling, AIA, ASID
Joe has been working in architecture and design for more than 14 years, managing projects that range from residential design to large-scale assembly, including the Georgia Aquarium and the Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Joe has a talent for looking at all the elements of a project and realizing the affect on the “whole” versus a single condition. He is able to develop multiple design concepts quickly and has the unique ability to “uncomplicate” the process by communicating simple and clear design strategies.
Joe has been involved in several award-winning projects and was recently recognized by ASID with a Bronze Design Excellence Award for his work on Inman Perk. He serves on the Board of Directors for MODA, the Museum of Design Atlanta, and has been a guest lecturer at The Art Institute of Atlanta, and a guest critic at the Georgia Institute of Technology and Southern Polytechnic University. Joe studied design and was graduated with a bachelor’s degree at Texas Tech University in the College of Architecture.

Lucy Aiken-Johnson, ASID
Lucy has been an Interior Designer for more than 15 years, leading projects in product design and the interiors of restaurants, showrooms, corporate headquarters and large-scale cultural arts centers, including WestWayne Advertising and the Georgia Aquarium.
Lucy has a talent for creating unique design elements for the individual client, providing memorable designs while staying in budget. Using her strong research skills, she gives her clients a design advantage by benchmarking projects and client competitors and ensuring a distinctive solution. Her design talent includes the creation of beautiful color combinations, finish solutions and furniture selections that complete the solution of each space.
Lucy has been involved in multiple award-winning projects and was recently recognized by ASID with a Gold Design Excellence Award for her work on the Koroseal loft office and a Bronze Design Excellence Award for her work on Inman Perk coffee house. She currently serves as the president of the Georgia chapter of ASID and was recently named one of Atlanta’s “Top 20 Under 40” designers by Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine. Lucy studied interior design and graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University in the School of Architecture, Design and Construction.

Patrick Johnson, AIA
Patrick has been in architecture and design for more than 15 years, managing multiple award-winning projects, specialized in residential and healthcare design. Some of Patrick’s highly visible projects include the Comer Children’s Hospital in Chicago and the Charlotte Kimelman Cancer Institute in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, recognized for design impact and the featured technological components focused on improving the patient’s well-being.
Patrick recognizes the importance of the client’s input and is very good at fostering a strong professional relationship by educating the client on next steps in the design process. He can also quickly turn an idea represented by a thumbnail sketch into a recognized project, and he has a talent for graphically diagramming components of a project, so the client can understand the “big idea” immediately.
In 2006, Patrick was named one of Atlanta’s “Top 20 Under 40” designers by Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine. He is also an accomplished artist, represented by the Mason Murer Gallery in Atlanta, and was chosen to represent the gallery in the Atlanta Art House Exhibit ‘07. Patrick was formally educated at Auburn University with a degree from the School of Architecture, Design and Construction.

Dan Maas, AIA
Dan has been working in architecture and design for more than 13 years, managing award-winning projects in commercial, corporate and restaurant design -- including the Georgia Aquarium, the Proscenium office building and the UCB headquarters, all located in Atlanta.
One of Dan’s strengths is his ability to maintain design integrity throughout the course of a project, while taking into account all the compromises and constraints of construction. He is great at finalizing details, including the compilation of construction documents for accurate pricing confirmations, permitting and construction, and he values building strong relationships with contractors and clients.
Dan has been recently involved with several recognized projects, including The Melting Point in Athens, GA, The Globe in Atlanta, and the re-design of the El Canton district in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Dan studied design and was graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis and a master’s degree in architecture from Georgia Tech.
